The Reserves reversed their fixture to travel to Southwater and give them home advantage as TD first team were playing at home.

TD have been on a poor run of results and were looking to stop the rot before the season turned into a mediocre one after looking so promising.
As usual the South water pitch was immaculate and perfect for teams that like to ball. Before the game started a South water supporter was heard to say" with 8 first teamers this should get them back for the last game" !!! Silly girl some might say.
In the early exchanges it was Southwater that looked the brighter side and looked half a second quicker all over the park. Southwater controlled the game with out looking to threating as Acton and truelove snuffed out any danger and Bubbs dealt with the very dangerous left winger, very effectively, show casing his strengths as a defender. On 15 mins a ball into TD the box left skipper Butler on the floor writhing in pain. It looks as if that is the end of the season for him.
Senra now wearing the arm band took it upon himself to drive the TD boys forward chasing and harrying every ball, unfortunately his team mates were to busy watching him rather than joining him, so much so on 30 mins Mr Glass's knee gave out and he was subbed off. Senra turned the dugout blue and let the gaffer know his annoyance with his team mates.
On 31 mins the game was stopped and TD went to make further subs , as the boys ran over leaving 3 players out of position Southwater began to play, why play continued only the ref will know ,setting their striker off who was clearly off side but with TDs lino getting ready to come on missed it. 0-1 to Southwater . TD protested and were clearly rattled and annoyed. Harry Cope seemed more annoyed than any one and started his one man mission to smashed everything and every one to put it right ,He even saved his over head kick with his face.

Second half TD changed formation slightly to help Murphy and borer who were working tirelessly to contain southwaters 3 in the middle. TD now 4-5-1 in defence and 4-3-3 in attack. Wingers with a demand to work even harder,Charlie taking a slightly deeper role, Gary Pritchard leading the line sacrificed himself for the good of the team occupying 2 centre backs allowing TD to get a man advantage when in attack.
TD took complete control of the game, Leon grew into the game and started to show why he was called up from the 3s, Harry.p showed quality going forward and real aggression in defence as Charlie and Shane talked him through the game, as he had turned deaf to the gaffer . Murphy and Borer just took over and dominated, Borer showing his quality even though he'd been missing in recent weeks and Murphy showing once again there probably isn't a better midfielder in this league. truelove showed his old rolls Royce self as he cursed at the back. Alf was giving no change and it was game on. Harry Cope got his reward for his hard work and poked in from close range. there were a plenty of attacks and chances going close. Charlies delivery was exceptional , Shane and Acton were loving it, Shane would have been on the score sheet any other day from a bullet header However Southwaters goalie turned into inspector gadget and some how got to it. Southwater were being contained by hard work, concentration and a real desire to win. until the 69th min when Southwaters left winger finally got some space and sent a rocket Charmans way. Charman a by stander most of the game showed real class and saved it like it was an every day stop. It was the 70th min when Harry .p was sent down the wing and sent in a delivery that cope put away , finally TD had what they deserved. In the final moments of the game Cope was sent away again and the crowd saw that his right leg is for standing on only and Harry missed out on his first senior hat trick. The ref found 9 mins of extra time and had the TD gaffers heart rate going as it seemed he was never gonna blow.

Final whistle 2-1 TD the crowd singing there's only one Rob Beckett.
TD s Gaffer afterwards said "second half was f##king fantastic, that's what I expect! I've got my boys back"
