A first home game of 2023 saw us playing against title rivals who we had previously beaten last month twice away.

After a pulsating first half with chances at either end our boys were on top going into the half.

HT 0-0

Into the second half and Chances came thick and fast with the boys taking control of the game. A brilliant ball from the corner by Stephen caused choas and Kieron latched onto it and finished calmly into the bottom corner.

A Freekick from the oposition caused issues in the back line and a mistake from our keeper meant the ball bounced in off the striker. 1-1.

Most teams would of lost their heads but not these boys, they fought back again and shortly after took the lead again on 52 minutes when a long ball from Luke went over the midfield and into the path of Kieron who knocked it past 2 players before finishing brilliantly past the onrushing keeper.
Another well taken goal and a lead the boys deserved.
A fiesty finish to the game saw tackles flying in but the boys held strong and saw out the final moments to bring home the win and take top spot in the league with their 9th League win in a row and 12th win in total back to back.

A fantastic performance and once again these boys continue to show us week by week how brilliant they are! A show of decency and class from them right from the off until the final whistle.

MOTM Today- Sam Roadley- Played his socks off in the midfield today, up and down the pitch, creating chances and stopping counter attacks. Fantastic game!
