The day didn't start to well for the Shipley Girls as the preparation was delayed after a mishap with the venue. The girls did well to focus on the game and prepare as much as they could.
Game started a little slow, but the away side got on the ball from minute one and started to show the home team that they like playing possession. Chances were coming but unfortunately TD couldn't find the back of the net.
Majority of the half was played in the Bexhill half, as TD kept attacking. The shots were racking up but the home team GK kept them out for 25 minutes but the first goal came in the 28th minute with some excellent team play down the right hand side, Amber Minter gathered the ball and played in an amazing split pass through to Khloe Gundlach who was waiting on the edge of the box and finished brilliantly into the bottom right hand corner to give TD the lead.
The half continued the same but TD couldn't add a second before half time.
Second half started well for TD who stepped it up a few gears and controlled the game even more than before with some very good football being played to create more chances. The away teams GK was keeping all shots out wherever they were going.
The second goal came in the 43rd minute from a set piece. Kara Murray started the move off with a decoy run by coming short and pulling out the defender at the front post. Wallis-Rhaine put in the cross straight onto the penalty spot and fell to Poppy Hollings who took a touch and smashed home to make it 2-0.
TD finished the game strong by continuing to play their football and creating even more chances. The game finished 2-0 and a strong team performance to remain unbeaten throughout the season.
Wallis-Rhaine Loft collected the POTM after getting an assist, Wallis-Rhaine also was very direct and attacked the defenders, and also put in some very dangerous crosses into the box.
Onto next weekend, for TD girls who play Whitehawk away. Come on TD!!!
