Back into cup action for the first time in 2025. TD faced Worthing united in the last 16.

The game kicked off in wet, windy conditions for the cup tie. Immediately the game started off in TD's favour as they were awarded a penalty. After Shanna hit a shot outside the area and it hit the hand off the Worthing defender. Shanna Hall confidently stepped up and calmly finished into the bottom right corner to give TD girls an early lead.

Chances kept flowing for each team, each Gk was called into action numerous times. The pitch was very muddy which meant each team couldn't play their usual way of playing.

Half time approached with both teams content with their performance. TD were the happier side of the two due to the scoreline.

The second half started well for the away side as they scored 2 minutes in to level the scoreline in the game. Momentum was turned onto the away side as they came out of the blocks sharp and quick.

The conditions had got worse and both teams had come to the conclusion that quick based possession football wouldn't work with the conditions and the pitch. In the 39th minute, Shanna Hall had produced a bit of magic to get her second of the game and 5th in 2 games, the ball had fell into the path of Shanna Hall who struck from 20 yards out into the bottom left corner.

5 minutes later, Worthing had equalized with a good team goal. The game was level throughout and the scoreline showed that.

With 7 minutes to go, Worthing were able to go ahead for the first time in the game. TD created numerous chances but couldn't take them to level the game up.

Maisy Waterfield claimed POTM with a battling performance, and playing out of position for the first time, and listened to instructions well, Maisy took it all in her stride and made some big tackles throughout.

Onto the next game, where TD Girls are back in league action and face Horsham Sparrows away. Come on TD!!!
